  • Select Program Options
    • Select Track
      • Mild/Moderate is for the Secondary Track (6-12)
      • Severe/Autism is for the Severe Disabilities/Autism Track (PK-12) 
    • Location: Choose the island you will be participating from
  • Complete Licensure Track Application ChecklistNote: Once you begin an application, an email with tips for completing the application checklist will be sent to you)
  • Submit Licensure Track Application

UH Mānoa Application for transfer students ($70 or free for Hawaii residents)

This application is only needed for students who are transferring or applying to UH Mānoa for the first time. Current UH Mānoa students or transfer students from the Ka‘ie‘ie program do NOT need to complete this step.

  1. Start a new UH System Application
    • Select University of Hawai’i – Mānoa Fall 2024
    • Step 1: About You
    • Step 2: Your Academics
      • Enrollment Plans
        • Select Transfer (Unless you already have a bachelor’s degree, then select 2nd Bachelor)
        • Planned Course of Study (Select one of the following)
          • Special Education:Secondary Special Education, Mild/Moderate Disabilities-BEd
          • Special Education:Severe Disabilities and Autism-BEd
    • Step 3: Final Steps Certify everything is correct
      • Hawai‘i residents qualify for an application fee waiver. Non-residents pay the $70 application fee (non-refundable)

When applying to UHM, official transcripts must be submitted directly from your college or university to UH Mānoa. You are required to submit transcripts from each post-secondary institution you have attended (excluding any University of Hawaiʻi System institution: UHM, UHH, UHWO, or any Hawaii Community College). Unofficial, faxed, hand-carried, or student copies of academic documents will not be accepted.
