Gathering anonymous, real time feedback using Padlet

In her face to face courses, Kathy Ratliffe asks students to jot down feedback on post-its and stick them to the door as they leave. To simulate this technique in her online courses she uses Padlet.

On Kathy’s Padlet below she posted 3 prompt questions at the top, then students posted “sticky note” feedback answers beneath.

Google forms (survey) for mid semester feedback

Google forms is an easy way to gather data from students.  In this example from SPED 603, Dr Jenny Wells uses a Google form to send a mid-semester survey.  She then uses the data to make adjustments to the course.

Feel free to copy and edit this Mid Semester Check in Google Form for your own survey. Be sure to make a copy of it, then make your changes to your copy!

One of the features we love in Google Forms is that it gives you a visual summary of participant responses.
