Dr. Terry Lock is the director of the Hawaii Early Childhood Educator Excellence and Equity Project. She also teaches early childhood education (ECE) courses, supervises ECE teacher candidates, advises graduate and doctoral students, and provides technical assistance to ECE partnerships. In addition, Dr. Lock works closely with Hawaii’s Executive Office on Early Learning (EOEL) on workforce development and professional learning initiatives. She has over 43 years of experience working with diverse children, infancy through 3rd grade, their families and educators in a variety of public and private program settings. Dr. Lock was the first Director of EOEL, director of Kamehameha Schools ECE division, National Head Start Fellow, Maui County Early Childhood Coordinator, family literacy trainer, and UH Maui College instructor.
