JD Parker is a collaborative educational leader with a passion for helping individuals navigate the process of exploring, learning, and growing into globally minded empathetic individuals. Having taught at primary, secondary and university level, JD currently works in the field of international education and study abroad where he develops and leads short-term faculty-led study abroad programs for undergraduate and graduate students to overseas destinations and through virtual platforms.

Research Interests

Studying global and international education track in the Department of Educational Foundations, JD’s research interests in comparative education include global education policies with an emphasis on Human Rights Education and teacher training. Geographically, JD’s research focuses takes place in East Asia and specifically in Japan.
