What is the time commitment during the the one-week Summer session?
From Monday-Thursday, we will typically run from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (possibly earlier/later on some days). From Friday-Sunday, the cohort will lodge together all weekend (beginning Friday morning and ending Sunday evening). Participation in the entire weeklong orientation is required.
What is the time commitment of the culminating Spring weekend?
Saturday will run from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Sunday will be from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (possibly earlier/later on some days). Participation in the entire Spring weekend is required.
What are the 2026-2027 program dates?
2026-2027 Dates
- Summer 2026 (in-person): June 22-28, 2026
- Participation in the entire weeklong orientation is required
- Fall 2026 (online): Weekly online
- Spring 2027 (online/in-person): Weekly online; and May 1-2, 2027 in-person
- Participation in the entire culminating weekend is required
- Fall 2027 (online): Weekly online
Is the program available to students outside Hawai'i?
Yes, because our program is hybrid (in-person and online), it allows us to welcome students from diverse geographic locations.
Can I work during my study in the graduate program?
Yes. Online classes in Fall and Spring are offered during the evening hours of 5:00–7:30 p.m. HST to accommodate working professionals.
