
P.L.A.Y. for All!*
The Department of Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science (KRS) is hosting a physical activity program for children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and their neurotypical peers. P.L.A.Y. for All (Physical Literacy and Activities for Youth) is an inclusive sports program that is open to all. The program includes 10 weeks between January 30, 2023 and April 25, 2023 of instruction on gross motor skills/sport–oriented skills. All sessions are hosted in Studio 3 next to the Stan Sheriff Center on University of Hawaii at Manoa’s campus. Evaluations to determine program effectiveness will occur at two different time points throughout the program. Children will receive a t-shirt!
- WHO: children ages 3–10
- WHEN: one night a week from 3pm–4pm / Monday – ages 7–10 / Tuesday – ages 3–6
