KRS faculty and students at FWATA conference

Department of Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science (KRS) faculty members and graduate students attended the Far West Athletic Trainers Association (FWATA) Annual Symposium in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 18–21, 2024, taking home the top three district awards in the research poster competition for the third consecutive year. KRS was also awarded the Clinical Outcome Based Research Award (COBRA) and Hawaiʻi Athletic Trainers’ Association Foundation Scholarship. Additionally, Associate Professor Kaori Tamura received a FWATA Research Grant. Associate Professor Bret Freemyer said, “The faculty are so thankful and appreciative of all our masters and doctoral students. We are so proud of them and all their success as their hard work and research efforts have been commendable.”
