Academic Advising & Student Support

E komo mai! OSAS provides academic advising to all undergraduate and post-baccalaurate students, as well all students who wish to become a teacher.

Please be advised, due to the global outbreak of COVID-19, our office will remain committed to continuing to serve you while keeping in mind the health and safety of our students, staff and faculty.  We have temporarily suspended face to face advising and instead will be offering telephone and Zoom or Skype appointments but this is subject to change depending on COVID-19ʻs status.  We will continue to monitor the situation and ask that you also keep abreast of the current status by visiting the COVID-19 UH updates page.

Types of Advising

Due to the global outbreak of COVID-19, our office will remain committed to continuing to serve you while keeping in mind the health and safety of our students, staff and faculty.  We have temporarily suspended Express Advising and Walk-in Advising and instead will be offering telephone, Zoom or Skype appointments.

We offer a variety of ways and methods for you to connect with an advisor including in-person, over the phone, Zoom and Skype appointments.

Advising by Appointment

Appointments can be for in-person, over the phone, Zoom and Skype advising.  Schedule an appointment online or call (808) 956-7915, and indicate what type of advising and which advisor you prefer.

Express Advising

Quick questions and general information on a first-come, first-served basis on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Express advising is not for transcript evaluations, and other advising activities that take more than 5 – 7 minutes to complete.

Walk-In Advising

For all OSAS-related services at peak times throughout the year, such as registration periods. During those peak times, students can walk-in and are advised on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the week, except Thursdays.
