College of EducationSPEDFAQs

Can I complete this program to become a teacher in the DOE?

This program does not lead to initial teacher licensure, which means it can only be used to add a licensure field to an existing license. If you are not currently a licensed teacher and would like to be, we recommend you consider looking at our Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Special Education or the Master of Education in Teaching: Dual Secondary/Special Education options.
