Rehabilitation Counselor Education
The University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa’s (UHM) Rehabilitation Counselor Education Program (RCEP) provides graduate-level training designed to prepare students for a fulfilling career in Rehabilitation Counseling. RCEP is a three-year academic program leading to a Master’s of Science (MS) in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science with a concentration in Rehabilitation Counseling.
The RCEP is conducted entirely online in both synchronous (meeting 1x/week) and asynchronous formats. Synchronous classes usually begin at 4:30 p.m. (HST) to accommodate working students. In addition, students participate in three semesters of field experiences in their own communities. This program delivers a high-quality learning experience that allows busy working professionals to earn their masterʻs degree and grow their career.

Students with a vested interest in athletic training, biomechanics, coaching, personal training, exercise physiology, physical & occupational therapy, sports nutrition, sports psychology/rehabilitation counseling, strength & conditioning, and/or seek graduate level entry into related areas.
Athletic Training
The Professional Athletic Training (AT) program’s mission is to prepare graduate students to become BOC certified athletic trainers and scholarly practitioners in the athletic training profession. Upon completion of the program, the student will fulfill all of the requirements for BOC certification. Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
Health & PE Teacher Education (HPETE)
