Two College of Education alumni, Ernie Libarios, Sr. and Michael Sana, were presented with honorary certificates by the City and County of Honolulu on April 20, 2016.
Libarios, Sr., who earned his MEd in educational psychology, was recognized on his retirement from Leeward Community College after 46 years and as Deacon from the Catholic Diocese of Honolulu. Sana, who earned both a certificate in secondary education and an MEd in curriculum studies, was recognized for being named a recipient of the 2015–16 Milken Educator Award.
