How did you become interested in the field of education? The Educational Psychology BAM Program?
I heard about the field of educational psychology for the first time during my undergraduate studies and was immediately intrigued. I have always loved coaching and teaching as well as psychology, so EDEP was the perfect mix of both.
How do you balance your schedule as a college student-athlete?
The most important thing is being organized, having good time management, and communicating well with your professors. All of my instructors have been extremely helpful and accommodating when I am traveling and have helped me stay on track with my class work.
How has the COE program impacted or benefited your career path?
Before I started in the COE program, I was unsure of what I wanted to do after college. EDEP helped me strengthen my passion for teaching.
Is there anyone in particular who inspired you to pursue a career in education?
I come from a family of teachers. My dad was a math and PE teacher and my mom is a French and English teacher. Both of my sisters are also teachers in PE, English, and French.
What are your future plans after your degree?
I am currently applying for the PhD program in Educational Psychology, so I hope to continue my studies in this field. Afterwards, I want to teach and apply everything I have learned about teaching, development, and learning in an educational setting.
