If you are not already a student at UH Manoa, complete the UH Manoa Admissions application:

  • Incoming Freshmen: select “1st Time Undergraduate Studies”
  • Sophomore (55+ credits) / Junior Transfer: select “Undergrad Transfer/Returning “
• Application Term: Fall
• Planned Course of Study: KRS, Physical Education – BS
• Concentration: leave blank
• Application fee: $70 (non-refundable)

Step 2: Apply into the College of Education via COE Makalei:

Ensure that you have selected the correct options when starting your COE Makalei application:

Incoming Freshmen:

Apply to Makalei. The following information should be preset.

• Degree: Bachelor’s Degree
• Program: Major Declaration – BS, KRS: Health & Physical Education (Pre-Licensure)
• Delivery Option:
• Select Manoa Campus for face-to-face program
• Semester: Fall
• Major: KRS, Health & Physical Education

Sophomore (55+ credits) / Junior Transfer:

Apply to Makalei using the link at the bottom of the page. The following information should be preset.

• Degree: Bachelor’s Degree
• Program: BS, KRS: Health & Physical Education
• Delivery Option:
• Select Manoa Campus for face-to-face program
• Semester: Fall
• Major: KRS, Health & Physical Education
