(Re)connecting the STEMS2 network across time, place and space
Join us for our in-person opening experience at Waikalua Loko Iʻa as we explore this year’s symposium theme with Herb Lee and The Pacific American Foundation. Lunch from Waiahole Poi Factory will be provided for first 85 registered participants.

Aʻo aku Aʻo mai: Exploring a multi-perspective coastal change lesson
This STEMS^2 Symposium workshop will take place at Kāhala Beach Park where participants will be among the first educators outside of the Aʻo aku Aʻo mai working group to field test this multi-perspective inquiry science coastal change lesson developed for middle school students in Hawaiʻi. Limited to 24 seats.

STEMS² Enter the Matrix Film Festival at Mānoa Heritage Center
The STEMS² Film Festival features short films created by master’s students from STEMS² Cohort 9 and 10 sharing their processing of STEMS² pillars and matrix. The evening includes a reception at Mānoa Heritage Center. Heavy pupus will be provided. Limited to 75 participants.
Join Online and In-Person
Online experiences will include workshops, poster sessions, and talk stories/paper presentations. In-person experiences will include activities that physically engage participants with people and places around O‘ahu. All participants will have access to our digital Whova app to connect with one another digitally.
