Light It Up!

The purpose of this unit is for students to understand the nature of light through the means of self-exploration. The unit that was implemented consisted of eight lessons and capped with a culminating performance task. The unit was taught using an inquiry-based model. The unit is grounded in the Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core Standards. Each lesson of the unit targets a different component of understanding light (i.e. light can only travel straight.)
This curriculum is still under review by faculty. Units identified as Under Review have been submitted by educators. While they are available to view now, they are currently being reviewed by our curriculum committee for addition to this site.
