How I Practice STEMS²
I want to be the type of teacher who is constantly evolving, trying new things even if my ideas may fail. I don’t ever want to become stagnant or complacent because that is not what I would ever want my own students to become. In order to become a “good” teacher I must always strive to give my students the best of me and that means that I can never stop learning, trying new things, and thinking outside the box. It is unfortunate that the principal method of teaching in our society is based on passing a standardized test and this is how we evaluate all of our students. There are so many life lessons that are learned daily that cannot be measures on a paper-and-pencil test.
