This presentation an research is an arts-based, autoethnographic study, which investigates the reciprocity importance of sense of place, identity, and connection to create culturally responsive teaching with the use of artistic and self-reflective methods in the research process. Through a visual and textual narrative, titled ‘Aloha Untitled’ I hope my viewers and readers will be able to compassionately relate and connect. Using dynamic imagery and text, the book I created intends to educate teachers, teacher-scholars, and all those curious in the cultural consciousness of the area in which they live and be prepared with a resource that can be utilized within the classroom to further create connection to the culture, land, and its people of Hawaiʻi.
