Let’s build Waihona together!
Waihona.net is an initiative by Kanaeokana, supported by Kamehameha Schools and made possible by the contributions from the Lāhui. Kanaeokana, the Kula Hawaii Network is a membership based organization that includes Kamehameha Schools, Hawaiian Focused Charter Schools, Hawaiian Language Immersion Program schools, and over 80 other Hawaiian education organizations including ʻĀina-based organizations. Established in 2016, Kanaeokana is providing new opportunities for Hawaiian culture based educators to raise their voices to advocate for things that are important: Hawaiian language renormalization, teacher recruitment and retention, ʻāina-based/place-based learning, culturally innovative learning solutions, and curriculum resources development and dissemination using a cloud based repository called Waihona.net, where kumu shares resources and ideas with each other. Come and learn more about joining the Waihona community!
