Eating Our Way to A Sustainable Future-Intro to the ʻIke ʻAi Food Literacy Education Toolkit
Workshop
In this session, participants will dive into the ʻIke ʻAi Food Literacy Toolkit, an educational food literacy resource hub for educators who support thriving local food systems for their communities, and pathways for careers in food and agriculture for their students! This Toolkit contains Hawaiʻi-specific, food literacy-themed lessons that are searchable by grade-level, subject area and subject area standards, and resource type. These resources were created by teachers, for teachers, and encourages students of all ages to develop a sense of “plate” by building pilina with the ʻāina that grows their food.
