University of Hawai’i at Mānoa Counseling Programs

The University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa (UHM) offers two exceptional graduate-level counseling programs within its College of Education, both leading to a Master of Education (MEd) degree.

    School Counseling Program

    This three-year curriculum prepares students for P-12 counseling careers, emphasizing individual and group support, academic and career guidance, program creation, and emergency response skills.

    Rehabilitation Counselor Education Program (RCEP)

    This three-year program trains rehabilitation counselors to work with individuals with disabilities. The curriculum emphasizes counseling theories, medical and psychosocial aspects of disability, vocational rehabilitation, and case management.
