Kayla Ueshiro, the College of Education Student Association (CESA) President, has been crowned the 2019 1st Princess of the 2019 Cherry Blossom Court. A current BEd Elementary Education student, Ueshiro also serves as the CESA representative for the COE Alumni Association, secretary for the the Hawai‘i State Teachers Association’s Aspiring Educators program, and a peer mentor in the Office of Student Academic Services (OSAS). She is also the recipient of the pageant’s Violet Niimi Oishi Scholarship, worth $5,000.
