Come join the editors of the newly released SAGE Encyclopedia of Filipina/x/o American Studies – Drs. Kevin Nadal, Allyson Tintiangco-Cubales, and E.J. David – for a book talk in Honolulu on Saturday, February 25, 2023, 1:00-3:30 pm at Ka Waiwai Collective. Collectively, these scholars gathered 300 Filipina/x/o American authors from all over the United States to write 350 entries on various topics related to Filipina/x/o American historical and contemporary experiences. Covering everything from arts and humanities to psychology, the encyclopedia is the first known of its kind and aims to be a premiere resource for Filipina/x/o American Studies. At the book launch, they will also be joined by some of the encyclopedia’s Hawai’i-based contributors including Jeanne Batallones, Richelle Concepcion, Marissa Halagao, Patricia Halagao, Rod Labrador and more.
