Middle and Secondary School Level

The MEd-CS Middle & Secondary Level track is a 30-credit online 2-year cohorted track that focuses on the education of adolescents (ages 10-adult) with emphasis on STEM & Place-Based Curriculum. The program is designed to be highly practical, with educators learning about and applying best practices for adolescent education.  The final Plan B Project is a Portfolio tied to the MLMED Program Standards which may be accessed at http://www.coe.hawaii.edu/cs/mlmed/. MLSMED is offered via interactive on-line technology.  All classes are held in the late afternoon/early evening to accommodate educators’ work schedules (usually 5:00pm – 7:30pm HST).  3-credit classes are held each Monday during the school year; 1-credit seminars are held one Wednesday per month during the school year.  Summer class schedules vary. Cohorts begin annually during summer semester. However, you may contact the program coordinator to request permission to join in Fall or Spring semester.
