The ʻUlu Education Toolkit is a PK–20 interdisciplinary, standards-aligned, searchable online database designed to increase the appreciation for and utilization of ʻulu (breadfruit). It is the result of a multi-year collaboration among the College of Education STEMS² Program, the Hawaiʻi ʻUlu Cooperative (HUC), Hawaiʻi Farm to School Hui/Hawaiʻi Public Health Institute, and numerous individual and community partners.
The resources share not only valuable knowledge about ʻulu and other indigenous crops, but also the values of mālama ʻāina, ʻike from both traditional and contemporary sources, and ola for Hawaiʻi, especially for our keiki.
