Event Details

AECT-HI will be hosting a Multiplayer Coding Game Event, and you’re invited! As Computer Science Education and Computational Thinking become increasingly vital in the AI era, this event offers a fun, low-pressure way to experience coding through gameplay—no prior programming experience required. At this event, you’ll play a multiplayer coding game in a small group, learn introductory text-based programming concepts, and enjoy free pizza while gaming together.

If you are interested in attending, please fill out this Google Form.

If you need any disability-related accommodations, please contact the LTEC Office (ltec@hawaii.edu) at least two weeks before the event.

Optional Research Study:
If you are a UH student and 18 years or older, please consider participating in an optional research study related to the game event. Participants will complete surveys and quizzes before and after the game session. For your time and effort, compensation will be provided in the form of an Amazon gift card, available in limited quantity on a first-come, first-served basis. Participation in the research study is completely voluntary and not required to attend the event. If you are interested, please indicate it in the event sign-up form, and we will send you more details.
