The University of Hawaiʻi offers a variety of scholarship opportunities and grants to regular students attending any of the ten UH campuses. UH, as a whole, awards more than $37 million in scholarship assistance.

Scholarship programs are need-based and/or determined by academic achievement, chosen major, geography or other criteria.

    Scholarship applications are accepted once per year. Typically, the award amount is about $2,000 per student for the academic year. This link contains a sampling of some of the scholarships offered to College of Education students.

    University of Hawaii System Common Scholarship

    You can apply annually for several of UH‘s generous scholarships at by completing a single application. This application is used for students interested in applying for:

    • Campus-specific scholarships (excluding UH Mānoa scholarships administered by the department or the UH Mānoa Financial Aid Office)
    • UH Community Colleges Scholarships (available through the Office of the Vice President for Community Colleges)
    • UH System Scholarships (Awarded by the UH System Financial Aid Office)
    • UH Mānoa New Warrior Scholarships (e.g. Chancellor’s, Regents, Presidential, Mānoa Excellence, and Mānoa International Excellence Scholarships) – only for incoming undergraduate students

    Graduate Division Achievement Scholarships

    A limited number of merit-based Graduate Division Achievement Scholarships are available to qualified graduate students at UHM. To be eligible, a student must be a degree-seeking student in a master’s or doctoral program and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above. Students apply through their graduate programs. Awards are competitive.
