What is your current job position?

I am currently an Executive Director

Please briefly describe the path that brought you to the LTEC program.

I had just finished my bachelor’s degree in elementary education and I wanted to continue my education with the most beneficial program possible. I knew that technology was the way to go so I enrolled into the LTEC MEd program.

How do you apply what you learned in the LTEC program to your current work?

Technology is everything nowadays. I integrate what I learned by keeping abreast on things like website construction, presentations, alternative communication, and online education.

How would you describe the LTEC program to others?

This program is very tech savvy and will prepare you for the future.

What was your favorite part of being in an LTEC program?

Everything was online so I was able to remain on Kaua`i and complete my entire degree while raising a family and working full time.

What are your future plans?

My future plans involve continuing my education and working hard to make a difference in education here in Hawai`i for as long as I possibly can.

What advice would you have for others currently in the LTEC program?

Sometimes things will get hard. Take deep breaths, cry if you have to, never stop working hard, keep pushing, and always reach for things you think are impossible to achieve.

What do you hope to inspire by sharing your education experience?

I want others to know that obtaining a degree is possible no matter how old or how busy you are. Everything is possible with a little will and perseverance.

I'm interested in learning more about a degree or certificate in Learning Design & Technology.
