COE Summer Programs

This summer, the College of Education’s Summer Programs welcomed 333 students eager to explore new passions and sharpen their skills. Over seven weeks, participants immersed themselves in 40 diverse classes, designed to inspire and challenge learners of all ages and interests.

From STEM and robotics classes to Minecraft challenges and creative programming, students discovered the excitement of innovation and problem-solving. Many built robots and experimented with coding while others embraced the chance to express themselves through design studios and hands-on projects.

Athletes and adventurers thrived in sports classes, developing teamwork and resilience on the field and court. For students seeking to expand their communication skills, English as a Second Language (ESL) courses provided a welcoming space to practice language and build confidence through engaging, interactive activities.

Throughout the program, the focus was on fostering curiosity, collaboration, and confidence. Students not only learned new skills but also built lasting friendships, working together to solve challenges, create projects, and celebrate their achievements. Teachers, drawn from a range of disciplines, tailored lessons to spark excitement and encourage discovery, ensuring that every participant left with new knowledge and inspiration.

As the summer concluded, the impact of the program was clear. Families, students, and teachers alike celebrated the growth and enthusiasm that filled every classroom, gym, and lab. With such strong participation and positive feedback, the College of Education is proud to reflect on a summer filled with innovation, learning, and connection—a season that not only enriched students’ skills but also reinforced the joy of discovery that education brings.
