Local Independent Private Schools & Organizations

Beyond serving the campus community, the College of Education collaborates with local independent private schools, key state agencies, and community organizations to engage in evidence-based program development and advocacy in areas such as disability studies, curriculum research and development, and many others.

UH System

The College of Education is one of 17 colleges and schools on the UH Mānoa campus, the main campus of the UH System, which includes three universities, seven community colleges, and numerous community-based learning centers across the state. The College works with other academic, research, and support units on campus and within the UH System to develop relevant degree offerings and pathways, enable multidisciplinary research collaborations, and improve student services.

Hawaii DOE

As the largest training institution for teachers in the entire state, the College develops and maintains partnerships with K–12 public schools throughout the state for the purposes of student-teaching practica, research, and teacher professional development across the entire spectrum of a teaching career.

National

Our college partners with other U.S. institutions of higher education, foundations, and government agencies at the national level. We value collaborating on projects that can have reach beyond our home state.

International

The College develops and maintains sustainable and synergistic international exchanges and partnerships in higher education with institutions from other parts of the world. COE's international collaboration focuses on the exchange of faculty and students, sharing academic resources, and conducting joint projects of mutual interest and benefit.
