Friday Night Prime Time basketball game

An interscholastic athletic program for students with disabilities and those who are at-risk, Friday Night Prime Time continues to make the news. Started in 2016 by College of Education Dean Nathan Murata, the program has grown from two participating high schools to eleven. Together with colleagues from the college’s Department of Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science, including Allison Tsuchida who is featured in a recent story by Howard Dashefsky on Sports People Hawaiʻi, the program has been steadily gaining notoriety and interest.
