Gain specialized knowledge and skills in serving the developmental needs of our youngest keiki (Birth–8 years) and their families in one of the COE’s early childhood teacher licensure programs. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be recommended to the Hawai‘i Teacher Standards Board (HTSB) for initial teacher licensure.

There are currently two early childhood licensure tracks available within the BEd Elementary program shown below:
Early Childhood Care and Education track (offered in odd-year admission periods: 2025, 2027, 2029, etc.)
Blended Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education track (offered in even-year admission periods: 2026, 2028, 2030, etc.)
