SELF DETERMINATION

It has been a catch phrase in the fields of EDUCATION and HUMAN SERVICES
for decades. However, many professionals admit they do not know enough about
this concept or how to help the people they work with become Self Determined.

Would you like to gain practical real-world experience learning and
applying the components of Self Determination? Join us at Camp!

This training opportunity offers UH System students with and without disabilities an INCLUSIVE opportunity to master the components and skills of SELF DETERMINATION. Camp Mānoa offers fun training activities focused on Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation, Self-Efficacy, Self-Advocacy, Problem Solving, Goal Setting, and Decision Making. On the last day of camp, all participants will share their own personal visions for a self-determined life as well as the goals they have set to pursue these visions.

COVID-19 Precautions: Previous Camps have been on-campus with overnight student housing accommodations. We are still hoping to offer an overnight option, but we are preparing other options given changing current
University guidance.

If you are interested in joining Camp Manoa or have questions, please fill out this form. Contact Natanya Friedheim at (808) 222-5282, pspcampmanoa@gmail.com.

*Space is Limited! There is a $100 fee to attend Camp Mānoa. Scholarships available.
