The Center on Disability Studies (CDS) is pleased to present the next free webinar in their Partner Seminar Series.

Topic: Family Engagement and the Role of School Based Family Resource Centers
Presenter: Dr. Kathleen O’Dell, HIDOE
Moderator: Dr. Chuan Chinn
Dr. Kathleen O’Dell is the Kailua-Kalaheo Complex Academic Officer for the Hawaiʻi Department of Education and the complex lead on diversity, equity, and inclusion, early learning, and family engagement. Dr. O’Dell shares her passion for family engagement within the Windward district, the state and nationally. In the KK Complex, she started four school-based Family Resource Centers (FRCs) and spearheaded the collaboration of multiple state departments and community organizations to form a statewide steering committee to support school and community based FRCs in Hawaiʻi. She is the co-chair of the ʻOhana Support Network and is a member of the National Family Support Network Learning Hub committee.
