Information Sessions

Please join us at any of our recruitment events to learn more about our program offerings and ask questions! Our recruitment specialist and academic advisors will be offering information sessions online all year and in person across the islands during the regular academic school year. These sessions are open to the public and will go over all undergraduate and graduate programs available to become a licensed teacher in the state of Hawai‘i!

Please join us to learn more about:

• Becoming a Teacher (benefits, requirements, salary, incentives, employment needs, etc.)
• Teacher licensure programs (Bachelor of Education, Post Baccalaureate Certificate, and Master of Education in Teaching options)
• Tuition funding opportunities available (scholarships, Grow Our Own stipends, SPED stipends, etc.)

These sessions are hosted by specific programs and/or departments and use their own RSVP submission form. If attending one of these specialized sessions, please complete the associated RSVP form listed next to the specific session. 

Master in Special Education Information Session:

COE Graduate Program Information Session (All graduate programs, non-licensure and professional development):

Bachelor’s Degree Pathways w/licensure in Special Education Focus Session:

• Monday, January 27th @ 4pm. RSVP to receive calendar invite with zoom link.

Master of Education in Teaching Application Walkthrough Session:

• Tuesday, February 12th@4pm. RSVP to receive calendar invite with zoom link.

Virtual Info Sessions

All virtual information sessions are held from 4:00pm to 5:30pm, unless otherwise stated:

• Wed. December 4
• Mon. December 30 (Winter Break – 10am to 11:30am)

• Wed. February 19

Final Application Support Drop-In Day: Wed. February 26 – Drop in anytime from 10am – 4pm to receive support with completing the application process.

Fall 2025 Applications will be open from November 1 to March 1 (Final Deadline).

Statewide sessions are held in-person on different islands throughout the academic year:

• Big Island – Kona: Fri., Nov. 8, 3:30pm – 5:00pm at Pālamanui Campus, Koali 102
• Moloka‘i: Fri. Nov. 15, 2:30pm – 4:00pm at Moloka‘i Education Center, Room 105
• Lana‘i: Thurs., Nov. 21, 3:00pm – 4:30pm at UHMC Lāna‘i Education Center
• O‘ahu – UH Mānoa: Wed., Dec. 11, 4:30pm – 6:00pm at UH Mānoa Campus, Wist Hall CCC
• Big Island – Hilo: Wed., Jan. 15, 3:30pm – 5:00pm at Hawaii CC Manono Campus, Building 381, Room 12
• Kaua‘i: Tuesday, Jan. 28, 3:30pm – 5:00pm at Kaua‘i Community College, LRC 201
